Take Back Control from Tobacco Marketing Campaign

Over 500 young people across the Black Country have worked with artists on the ‘Take Back Control from tobacco’ campaign to produce music videos, computer games and a marketing campaign. Funded by Black Country Tobacco Control Alliance and Arts Connect, the programme has involved 16-19 year olds in all four Black Country boroughs, working with artists to produce music videos, computer games and a marketing campaign exploring tobacco control. Dudley Take Five

Hundreds of children and young people living in Dudley worked with our arts team  to produce the exciting ‘Dudley Take Five’ resources available on the  ‘Dudley Take Five’ YouTube channel. The resources help children, and grown-ups working with children, to understand the Five Steps to Wellbeing (ref. New Economics Foundation). Taking the Five Steps can help us all feel better every day. Black Country young people use powerful words and video games to take a stance on tobacco. See behind the scenes footage and get a great taste of what’s to come. Funded by the Black Country Tobacco Control Alliance and Arts Connect, young people across the region are busy creating films and games ready for release in 2019. Working with artists from Creative Health CIC, they’re digging deep into the world of killer tobacco to out the truth – and Take Back Control from tobacco.
