CreateSpace is a combined arts project supporting adults to find time to be creative in their everyday lives.
The programme has been developed by Creative Health (Arts and Health)cic with Galleries, Museums and Libraries in Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Staffordshire. The project is funded through an award from Arts Council England, National Lottery Project Grants Scheme.
Adults have been engaging in artist led, high quality, and innovative, interdisciplinary workshops in participating Galleries, Museums and Libraries. CreateSpace is led by critically-regarded artists and provides time, space and inspiration to be creative. The work is underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and aims to support people’s mental health and wellbeing.
During the Covid-19 lockdown period the workshops are running online, providing participants with regular activities, support and encouragement to continue being creative during this time.
The project is based around the Five Ways to Wellbeing
The project partners are Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Blakesley Hall, Birmingham Museums Trust, Kinver Community Library, Staffordshire Libraries, The New Art Gallery Walsall, Perton Library and Wolverhampton Art Gallery
